Medical Lab Scientist – Blood Bank The University of Vermont Medical Center, Inc. seeks a Medical Lab Scientist – Blood Bank to work at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT and perform, calculate, review, and report laboratory diagnostic tests. Duties include, among others: (i) preparing stains, reagents, and solutions accurately; (ii) obtaining and preparing specimens for testing – reviewing orders, specimen labels, and other record for completeness and accuracy; (iii) following procedures to perform tests with expected accuracy and precision; (iv) understanding the clinical significance to test being performed and using judgment to evaluate results before reporting; and (v) recognizing test results which fall outside established limits and following established procedures to confirm results.
