Job Summary:      The DRN role is a non-24/7 nursing role, that crosses all continuum of health care sites functioning in the role of expert clinician, educator, and nurse care manager for diabetes patients across the continuum of care.  In collaboration with the medical and ancillary staff, monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical support to improve patient care and outcomes, for both inpatient, outpatient, and across the continuum of care. Summary Directs, supervises and coordinates the overall operation of an acute care facility and primary care clinic.   Education and Formal Training: Associates degree preferred, high school diploma or GED required. Work Experience: Minimum of four (4) years medical office experience. Minimum of two (2) years in supervisory position, preferably in a medical group practice. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times.
