On August 10, the unit will open with 18 surgical trauma PCU beds and 9 burn beds, with plans to expand to the full 35 beds later in the year. This unit provides higher‑acuity surgical trauma and burn care, including treatment in a dedicated hydrotherapy procedure room for the burn population.
