JOB SUMMARY The Medical Social Worker LCSW at North Mississippi Health Services plays a pivotal role by coordinating assessment of psychosocial factors, providing direct case work, evaluating patient/family response to treatment, and communicating with patients, staff, and physicians. The Medical Social Worker LCSW is responsible for documenting patient care, providing mental health services including counseling and therapeutic interventions at the individual and group level, and developing treatment plans.  They also are responsible for managing patient care fund budget and depending on care setting, can bill for therapeutic services. Extensive interaction with patients, families, hospital employees, physicians, and community resources necessitates strong human relations skills.
