JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics as acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent. Current CPR certification. Must have completed a training program that is approved by the medical director and Governing Body and under the direction of a registered nurse. Focused on the operation of kidney dialysis equipment and machines, providing direct patient care, and communication and interpersonal skills, including patient –provider conflict management. And /or experienced more than 2 years and successful completion of a facility’s written exams over the required content an a skills checklist completed by observation of the PCT’s skill by a registered nurse. Successful completion of these exams and competency testing would not negate the need for these experienced PCT’s to achieve certification within the 18 month timeline. The program must include:...
