Job Summary: Assures cardiac catheterization laboratory equipment and room are functional. Assists in direct patient care during pre and post procedures. Assumes role of scrub tech and cardiac monitor tech during interventional and diagnostic procedures. Performs imaging and other radiology functions. Assists in inventory and materials management to assure adequate availability of consumables for lab and its related care. Assists in orientation of new cardiac catheterization personnel. Recommends changes in non-clinical activities and department activities to improve quality of patient care and balance workflow. Identifies issues and recommends solutions.
