SUMMARY
Responsible for the provision of cardiopulmonary rehabilitative services to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgery, MI, or experiencing COPD, emphysema, or other cardiac and respiratory diseases. Assesses, plans and implements treatment, conducts exercise sessions, administers diagnostic cardiopulmonary tests independently and under physician's supervision, evaluates and documents care and progress of patient. Collaborates with other departmental and interdepartmental staff in providing rehabilitative activity and education for patients and their families or significant others. Also is responsible for communicating with physicians, insurance companies and families.
