Overview The Reservation Specialist is responsible for managing patient placement, throughput, and patient flow within the organization for admissions and transfers. Bed assignments are communicated to the originating and destination department via computer systems and telephone. In an effort to provide customer satisfaction, the Reservation Specialist accurately listens and responds appropriately to requests form patients, physicians, nursing departments, and co-workers. To ensure patients are assigned rooms in an expedient manner, the Reservation Specialist utilizes all critical resources within the organization to expedite this process. Reservation Specialist ensures paperwork and computer entry is checked for accuracy and continually enhances his or her knowledge regarding processes.
