POSITION SUMMARY Under the general direction of the Rehab Clinical Manager, Rehab Operation Supervisor(s), and the Clinical Lead, assumes the responsibility for evaluating patients and developing an effective occupational therapy program based upon physical assessment, sound judgment and psychological sensitivity. Maintains a high level of professional expertise and assumes responsibility for professional growth and development. This position is per diem based in the acute care setting. Experience in acute care is preferred. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, entry level Master degree or entry level Doctorate in OT; Vermont State License or eligibility required. BLS training preferred. EXPERIENCE Three to six months to be proficient in all phases of assigned duties.

Our team is a collaborative mix of RNs, LNAs, Unit Secretaries, Nursing students, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Quality partners, Medical Students, Residents and Attendings who work together to provide Miller 6 patients with the highest quality care. We have state of the art rooms with beautiful views of the UVM campus and Lake Champlain. Every room is equipped with a ceiling lift and plenty of room for families and space in which to do physical therapy. We primarily treat post-surgical patients including trauma, total hip & knee replacements, hip fractures and spine patients. Nurses are encouraged to grow professionally through Orthopedic specific certifications.
