POSITION SUMMARY: The Computerized Tomography (C.T.) Technologist, with independent judgment and initiative, performs prescribed CT scan procedures and exams on patients and coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT Scanner. Ensures that ALARA principle is followed for all exams. Performs related duties as assigned. Responsible for demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide CT services appropriate to the age of the patients. Cognizant of safety issues, both environmental and medical. Must be competent to obtain images and perform CT scan studies with adults and geriatric patients as well as children. Responsible for adjusting protocols as necessary and for communicating instructions appropriate to the specific needs of the patient.
