Overview The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Medical Assistant. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The Medical Assistant will assist various orthopedic physicians under the direction of Clinical Coordinator and provide coverage for clinical teams as needed. Perform general nursing duties, suture/staple removal, and wound care/dressing changes. Drawing up and calling in medications. Application of sterile fields and removal of casts and splints. Locate any necessary imaging, test results or reports for upcoming appointments. Schedule and precert MRI’S, lab work, procedures, and surgeries. Prepare for clinic by printing out patient information as requested by physicians, as well as prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc. Assist with verifying pre-op labs and scheduling surgery clearances as needed.
