Job Description: Job Summary:The Float Medical Assistant Apprentice is responsible for providing high-quality patient care within multiple healthcare facilities. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in various clinical settings, including primary care, specialty clinics, and urgent care. The Float will be assigned to different units based on workload, patient acuity, and staffing needs. Under the guidance of a Certified Medial Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse preceptor works at an entry-level, assisting RN, Physician and other providers with direct patient care in the ambulatory setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. As an apprentice, the Medical Assistant in Training will perform identified procedures individually once competencies have been demonstrated.
