Unit Description: Cardiac and Vascular Care (CVC) is a 16-bed unit designated for cardiac and procedural patients requiring a brief hospitalization. Our Registered Nurses care for a variety of patients including those recovering from surgery, interventional radiology procedures, invasive cardiology procedures; including ST-elevation myocardial infarction, non ST-segment myocardial infarction patients, patients requiring percutaneous coronary interventions, and patients requiring antiarrhythmic medication initiation. Responsibilities: Managing and coordination care for the post-procedural extended recovery, and/or the observational care patient in the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit. Management of patient care utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
