We work closely with our Palliative care team, whose office is located on R5.   Oncology care ranges from, symptom management, radiation, Chemo (IV and oral), medication side effects and Oncological Emergencies. When starting on R5 you will not be required to hang IV chemo for the first 6 months to one year. When you become comfortable with the R5 population we will train you in chemo administration. Unit Description: R6 is a 24 bed Medical Surgical unit.  It specializes in Orthopedics, Trauma, and Stroke/Neurology.  Included in our 24 beds, we have a 10 bed Joint Care Center, where they have their total joint replacement patients.  Because we specialize in caring for shorter stay surgical patients, we tend to have one of the higher discharge/admission rates in our facility. We currently have a Full-Time Day Shift and Full-Time Night Shift positions available.
