POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the operation, procedures, patient safety and maintenance of the MRI equipment and related systems. Ensures that all required safety precautions & screening are strictly enforced for the protection of customers and personnel. Demonstrates an excellent knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and magnetic resonance physics as applied to MRI procedures and operation of the department. In the absence of the senior technologist and/or MRI technologist III, coordinates departmental operation with all the MRI staff and the Chief Radiologist. Supports University Health's policies, values, and guest relations. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists ARRT (R) (MRI) and License by the Texas Department of Health (CMRT) is required.
