The APP functioning within the dermatology ambulatory setting works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions primarily in the clinic managing the dermatologic needs of the identified population. The APP is generally on a service aligned team and manages the care of the outpatient with the team. In some instances the APP may have responsibilities for this same patient population in the consultative inpatient setting or serves a resource for the inpatient care team. The Cardiac Lung Service Line night shift APP works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions as a member of the surgical management team throughout the cardiac lung service line. In conjunction with the attending, the APP will oversee care from OR/inpatient to discharge and throughout all aspects of the continuum of care. The APP may provide care throughout the system including ICU , progressive, telemetry, and in some cases return to ambulatory clinic. The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced based practice and education and ensuring an environment of safe quality care.
