JOB SUMMARY: Performs clinical laboratory testing which involves the application of sophisticated analytical knowledge in a wide range of the Clinical Laboratory functions, including Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Immunohematology, Coagulation and Cytology; performs the tasks of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to help the physician in diagnosis and treatment of the patient. The majority of the patients that interact with the laboratory staff are adult and geriatric patients.   Therefore, members of the laboratory staff must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide laboratory services appropriate to the age of the patients, their physical and psychosocial needs as they differ with age, and be knowledgeable in recognizing signs and symptoms of abuse or neglect.   Members of the laboratory staff also must be cognizant of safety issues, both environmental and medical and arrange procedures to ensure...
