The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. The Registered Nurse provides guidance to other members of the surgical nursing unit; and may be authorized, in the absence of the Charge Nurse, to make decisions affecting the nursing unit. In addition, the Registered Nurse will perform other duties as assigned.
