Staff Education/Training:
Evaluates need for/develops and implements continuing education programs for licensed staff in assigned area promoting critical thinking and problem solving skills. Assist with nursing assistant and unit coordinator education for ongoing education. Provides unit specific orientation to new staff. Provides annual competency programs and additional hospital required programs utilizing adult learning principles using varied teaching methodologies and standardized lesson plan. Handles difficult learning situations in the classroom and clinical area seeking a win-win solution.
Performance Improvement:
Assesses results of Performance Improvement indicators. Develops and implements programs based on this data to improve quality of care.
Resource Asset:
