Job Description: The Nurse Excellence Director leads and oversees initiatives to drive nursing excellence. The Director ensures the integration of nursing professional standards into the organizational infrastructure, reflecting the five components of the ANCC Magnet® Program: Transformational Leadership, Structural Empowerment, Exemplary Professional Practice, New Knowledge Innovations, and Improvements. Additionally, the Nurse Excellence Director may support Pathway to Excellence® Designation and promote excellence in patient care services through improving empirical outcomes, mentoring nurses, supporting professional development, and may seek grants and funding. This Director also advances nursing services toward national recognition for quality outcomes, nursing, and patient satisfaction.
