Physical Therapist Responsibilities:
Assessments & Evaluations : Assess conditions related to genetic, developmental, neurological, and orthopedic disorders using advanced standardized tests like PDMS-2, BOT-2, and GMFM.
Treatment Planning : Provide targeted therapy sessions focusing on range of motion, strength, postural control, balance, and functional mobility, including orthotic and adaptive equipment use for individuals aged birth to 22 years, as outlined in IEPs. Collaborate with the special education team to develop effective IEPs and IFSPs, aligning interventions with student needs and resources.
Consultation & Instruction : Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and professional staff. Create and prescribe home activity programs, coach parents to support motor skill development, and serve as a district-wide physical therapy resource by providing training, consultation, and hands-on support....
