This position will be affiliated with the Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant, and LVAD Cardiology Group. Since our first heart transplant in 1986, BUMC has become one of the highest volume transplant and LVAD centers in UNOS Region 4. We have performed over 1,000 heart transplants and 500 LVAD implantations while also offering the shortest wait time from time of listing to transplant in Texas. Our section is actively engaged in clinical research sponsored by NIH, external foundations, intramural funds, and industry with over 40 active trials.
