JOB SUMMARY The Certified Medical Assistant assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician and/or nursing staff. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical records. Prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. May draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. May perform administrative duties such as ordering supplies, answering the phone, and scheduling appointments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Obtains appropriate patient medical history necessary to perform diagnostic procedures as ordered; radiology, laboratory, audiometry (if applicable) and spirometry. JOB SUMMARY The Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist (RT) will provide direct patient care to cardiac patients and communicate with the physician continuously to ensure patient safety during procedures. Working with the Cardiac Service Line Leaders, the Cath Lab Radiology Tech (RT) assesses, plans, implements and collaborates with other departments to ensure excellence in patient and family care, reflective of CCH mission, vision, and values. The Radiology Tech (RT) will integrate departmental goals for improvement across the care continuum. The Cath Lab Rad tech may be an RT or an RCIS. The Radiology Tech (RT) practices within the framework of the professional standards of their certifying organization.
