Registered Nurse (RN) – Department   Kenosha, WI, United States  Where You Will Work:   Our Level II Labor & Delivery/Postpartum unit provides care for patients delivering at 32 weeks gestation and above, with protocols in place to stabilize and transfer those under 32 weeks to a Level III facility. The unit includes 9 labor rooms, 12 postpartum rooms (shared with med-surg patients, though OB nurses care only for OB patients), 3 triage bays, and 2 dedicated OB operating rooms. We average 100 deliveries per month, totaling 1,183 last year. The team consists of 6 in-house OB/GYNs, anesthesia on-call exclusively for OB (typically in-house or nearby), and a neonatal nurse practitioner available 24/7 for high-risk deliveries. Lactation support is available seven days a week through two full-time and two casual consultants, and an educator with flexible hours supports both day and night shifts. Where You Will Work: The MedSurg unit is located on the 2nd floor and consists of 40 beds, though we typically care for no more than 28 patients at a time. Additionally, we manage an overflow unit on 4 East, which usually accommodates six patients and is staffed with two RNs providing primary care. The 2nd floor serves as the main MedSurg unit, caring for general medical-surgical patients, hospice patients, and telemetry patients who are medically appropriate for the unit. Our patient population primarily consists of older adults. The overflow unit generally has patients of lower acuity.
