The provider will see acute patients in a 33-bed inpatient setting. The average daily census is 21, and patients will be seen M-F, during business hours (generally 9a-5p with some flexibility). Initial Psych evaluations (1-hour session) are to be performed on new admissions within 60 hours of admission. Subsequent follow-ups consist of 15-minute visits for ongoing medication management. The average length of patient stay is 7 days. Treatment team meetings are staffed once a week, every Tuesday, and can last 1-2 hours depending on caseload. The provider is not required to perform history & physical; we employ hospitalists who perform the H & P, as well as treat any active medical conditions the patient may present with or require ongoing care for.
