Job Summary Responsible for the planning and implementation of Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment services. Evaluates communication disorders and administers therapy treatments for resident/patient problems associated with hearing, speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Maintains records, monitors progress, and counsels residents or patients and their family members. Core Job Responsibilities Responsible for administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates, assesses, plans, directs and treats all residents or patients referred for speech/language pathology services. Interprets test results in accordance with standard speech/language procedures. Re-evaluates patients as appropriate. Implements new treatment plans and goals as necessary.
