DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Respiratory Therapist delivers care to patients of all ages who suffer from either an acute or chronic respiratory illness or cardiopulmonary disorder.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Director and Assistant Director of Respiratory Therapy
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Organizes patient care and general activities to accomplish required functions with delegation of these activities to other staff as appropriate.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in planning and organizing patient care from admit to discharge.
Effectively identifies and solves problems in reference to equipment, patient care or respiratory safety.
Documents accurately according to department policy.
Possesses competency in use of technology and computers.
