Job Summary: To coordinate and provide sports medicine services in the community, schools and therapy clinics. Performs a wide variety of athletic training evaluations and procedures in the care and treatment of athletes. Coordinates and works closely with school officials, including the Athletic Director and Coaches.  Additionally, he coordinates with CaroMont Health Sports Medicine Outreach Team, Director of Rehab Services and Service Line Director to provide Sports Medicine Services and program development and growth.

Training: Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from a recognized college or university.  Must have an NC license or a NC provisional license.  The provisional license will be accepted until the state boards are taken, and the results are known.  No prior work experience required.  Knowledge of occupational therapy terminology, procedures and techniques.  Considerable skill in performing occupational therapy procedures.  Thorough ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicians and hospital personnel.  Judgment is required in working with patients and performing treatments.   Job Summary : Provides cardiac and pulmonary rehab services including patient assessment, treatment plan development, exercise instruction, patient education, and outcome measures per professional standards and regulatory guidelines. Performs cardiac monitoring, 12 lead EKGs, and performs standardized testing such as stress tests and 6-minute walk tests. Participates in development of clinical protocols and programming to ensure continuous quality improvement. Job Summary:   To set up and manage various types of respiratory therapy equipment including the various oxygen delivery systems, nebulizers, BiPAP/CPAPs, and mechanical ventilation. Manage protocols and administer prescribed doses of respiratory therapy inhaled drugs to inpatients and outpatients. Ability to perform arterial sticks for blood gas analysis and various bedside procedures to assess pulmonary status.   Temporary assignment will be for 12 weeks with the requirement to work every other weekend and any holidays during the 12 week assignment (if assignment is during the Christmas holiday, will work either Eve or Day depending on staffing need). No requested time off allowed, must work all hours each of the 12 weeks.

Job Summary:  The Practice Readiness for Educational Pathways (PREP) Program provides the Respiratory Therapy student with opportunities to gain valuable experience that can help bridge the gap between theory and practice. The goal of the PREP Program is to facilitate the assimilation of the individual into the healthcare environment and culture. The PREP experience serves as a preview of direct patient care.      The student will work under the supervision of a CaroMont Health employee, licensed in the role in which the student is currently enrolled.
