Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Ultrasound Technologist - Per Diem provides health care services for inpatients and outpatients of the University Hospital/ DOC through the applications of non-ionizing radiation (in the form of ultrasound). The technologist perform general, OB/GYN, vascular ultrasound procedures for the interpretation of a licensed practitioner. The patient population ranges from newborn to maturity. Exercise professional judgment throughout the performance of his/her duties and maintains a demeanor that supports the values and mission of the department, ensuring that all interaction with patients, physicians, nurses, administrators and other members of the hospital staff are professional and in accordance with the established guidelines of the institution.
