Responsibilities The Summer Surgical Technologist student (Summer ST) provides delegated care to the surgical patient under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and in collaboration with the surgical team. The designated tasks are those which have been taught in the academic programs and/or orientation, and where the individual has demonstrated competence to a designated RN or CST.
