General Lab Medical Technologist DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Medical Technologist performs medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses to provide data for use in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Assures laboratory results are accurate and reported timely. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Performs quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Nuclear Med Tech works closely with Radiation Safety Officer to prepare, document and administer diagnostic doses of radiopharmaceuticals in the performance of clinical nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures. SUPERVISION: Reports directly to Nurse Manager and/or Charge Nurse RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Supervisory Responsibilities include overseeing the care of all assigned patients.
