Overview Performed the essential functions of a Cardiovascular Technician I and II. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operation of advanced diagnostic and interventional equipment; participation in the training and supervision of other Cardiovascular Techs; and participation in the evaluation, learning and/or teaching of new technologies as required. Works in or around radioactive areas. Administers medications as prescribed and under the supervision of a physician. These medications include, but are not limited to, adenosine, Dobutamine, regadenoson, atropine, Aminophylline, nitroglycerine, metoclopramide, heparin and sodium chloride. Qualifications Education: HS/GED required with participation in college level courses preferred. If hired/promoted after July 1, 2014, an active Anesthesia Tech. Certification is required. Performs age specific ultrasound procedures utilizing the necessary independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in order to obtain diagnostic sonograms. Performs inpatient, outpatient, ER and surgical procedures as needed. Position would help with basic procedures, interventional procedures and call.
