The Interventional Radiologic Technologist CLis a specialized radiologic technologist who helps physicians with minimally invasive procedures that guide instruments through a patient?s blood vessels and organs. Working under direct supervision, this job performs procedures such as angioplasties, biopsies, image-guided thermal ablations, and stentings. This job sets up sterile equipment trays, positions patients correctly for interventional radiologic procedures, helps operate fluoroscopic equipment, and helps capture images. Essential Job Function Performs minimally invasive exams consistent with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose to as low as reasonably achievable.
