Responsibilities CAT Scan Technologists (CT Tech) operate CAT scan and send images to radiologists for interpretation. The CT Tech determines and sets appropriate technical parameters and positions patients for the anatomy and pathology to be accurately demonstrated. CT Tech job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administer contrast material injections. Record the patient's medical history before an exam and educate and prepare patients for their examinations. CT Tech act as the primary liaison between patients and radiologists and other members of the support team. Address problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge, and skills based on general precedents. Shift: 3 x 12 Days

Overview Performs radiologic procedures and assists physicians and radiologists at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.  Responsible for special procedures, angiographic procedures, CT scans and related quality control monitoring as assigned.  Ensures patient comfort and safety during procedures.  Ensures a high quality of images produced.  Responsible for availability and sterility of equipment and supplies used for assigned areas.   The technologist will be part of the on call pool. **The CT Technologist may be required to cover inpatient or outpatient areas to include offsite diagnostic locations Qualifications Education: A high school diploma or GED; Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Science Experience: 2 years’ experience in CT preferred Licenses/Certificates:  Must be ARRT (R) registered.
