The CT Tech 2 arranges patients for Computed Tomography examinations. Produces CT images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Ensures patient safety by using pre-established imaging protocols, and screens patients for safe administration of contrast media. Utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job. Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family. JOB SUMMARY The CT Technologist at North Mississippi Health services is responsible for performing high quality diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography equipment to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Technologists are also responsible for reviewing patient information, charts, physician orders, and previous films to plan and perform high quality CT exams.  This role oversees safety compliance for patients, staff, and equipment, along with managing overtime and work schedules efficiently to control costs.  The technologist must also stay updated on radiology protocols and possess a strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy and work effectively within a team.
