DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Emergency Room Technician performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Unit Tech/Monitor Tech assumes responsibility for the organization and clerical activities for the nursing unit. SUPERVISION: Reports directly to Nurse Manager and/or Charge Nurse RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Sets up and communicates ready rooms for labor, C-section, undelivered and surgical patients. Works together, with nursing assistant, nurse, ob tech to maintain cleanliness of the unit to include cleaning equipment for patient use. Stock medication room, infant cribs and epidural carts as needed with supplies. Communicates appropriately with patients, visitors, and staff, in a timely and efficient manner.
