Job Description Summary The MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital is a pediatric level-one, academic trauma center. There are eight OR suites on level 3 and two minor ORs on level 2 which cover all pediatric surgical specialties including: Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Dental, General Surgery, and Pediatric hearts. The nursing teams consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologist. RN’s are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures. Job Description Summary Rutledge Tower Operating Room has 9 OR suites for both adult outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures and provides service to a multitude of specialties to include ENT, Oral Surgery, Adult Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Gynecology, Urology, Pain Management, Orthopedics, Surgical Oncology, Endocrine, Colorectal, and Minimally invasive surgery (MIS). Rutledge Tower OR is open Monday through Friday until 5:00pm and is closed on weekends and major holidays. Nurses in the OR are trained to both circulate and scrub for several specialties.
