Job Summary and Qualifications The Certified Surgical Technician (CST) is an active member of the nursing team in the Operating Room. The CST functions under the direct supervision of the OR nurse. He/she is responsible for assisting the OR nurse in assessing the needs of the patients, infancy through life span, and for organizing and planning care sufficient to meet identified needs during the intra-operative phase, by performing technical duties as assigned.
