Overview Under the supervision of the Center for Sleep Disorders Director, the Polysomnographic Technologist performs all types of diagnostic testing offered in the department.  Functions include equipment and patient calibration, set-up, performance, documentation, and troubleshooting of Polysomnographic recordings, tabulation and processing of test information, sleep laboratory logistical operations.  Also performs oversight, education and training of PSG and student technologists during the work shift.  Participates in performance improvement program and new program development.  Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Overview Performs nuclear medicine imaging and in-vitro laboratory procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Use independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to perform state-of-the-art imaging. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Qualifications Education required: High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of accredited radiology or nuclear medicine program. License, Certification and/or Registration: Require ARRT Licensure or NMTCB Licensure within 1 year of hire. BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
