Understands patient safety goals & actions taken. Uses 2 patient identifiers before giving treatments, demonstrates process. Always introduces self to patient & explains procedure thoroughly to assure patient comfort & compliance. Always verifies correct patient by appropriate identification process before beginning procedure. Competently performs all routine phlebotomy procedures. Observes patient & puncture site carefully during procedure for adverse reactions. Calls for additional support if needed....
