About the Role The primary purpose of Ophthalmic Technician (Per-Diem) is to provide advanced level technical support to the Ophthalmology Clinics, Faculty and Residents, and to perform various services, as directed, to facilitate patient care and efficient clinic operation.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do Performs and accurately documents, either electronically or in written form, intake patient interview to include: chief complaint and HPI; Review of Systems; past, family, medical and social history; patient medication list. Performs, under direction of an ophthalmologist, basic and advanced level ophthalmic screening procedures as outlined by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
