Job Details Description Location/Department:  Hospital - Laboratory 80/pp Split-Shift or 2nd Shift evenings.  Hours and shifts are negotiable.  Job Summary: Responsible for the collection and analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.   Supervisory Responsibilities:   None Duties/Responsibilities: Uses only approved abbreviations. Understands patient safety goals & actions taken. Uses 2 patient identifiers before giving treatments, demonstrates process. Always introduces self to patient & explains procedure thoroughly to assure patient comfort & compliance. Always verifies correct patient by appropriate identification process before beginning procedure. Competently performs all routine phlebotomy procedures.
