Description Responsible for the medical and mental care of Danville City Jail Inmates Responsible for dispensing on all medication; responsible for making medical appointments for inmates; order all medication and medical supplies needed to operate the jail efficiently; maintain inmate medical records as specified by the Virginia Department of Corrections; treat inmates with minor injuries following jail doctors protocol; assist the jail physician on his weekly sick call. Responsibilities The Certified Surgical Tech First Assistant (CSTFA) works as a member of the perioperative team under the direction of the surgeon. He/she performs responsibilities of both the Surgical Technologist and the Surgical First Assistant based on department needs and as directed by the department leadership. The CSTFA practices within the scope of the job description and performs clinical and technical skills under surgeon supervision to assist with carrying out a safe operation with optimal patient results.
