JOB SUMMARY The Emergency Services Advanced ER Tech, provides appropriate basic and advanced life support (in accordance with training and protocols) to patients under the guidance of Medical Control to assure the delivery of patient care. Performs routine specimen collections, electrocardiographs, routine tests, IV & IO catheters, Intubations, patient care functions and technical procedures for which appropriate training and competency is maintained. JOB FUNCTIONS Patient care: Performs phlebotomy, EKG’s, patient transport, splints, CPR, medication administration per competency, IV/IO intitiation, utilization of cardiac monitoring, defibrillation, pacing and cardioversion, Urinary in/out catherizations, assist with intubation.
