Overview The Ambulatory Rx Assistance Pharmacy Technician provides prescription assistance for patients across the system in a number of ambulatory settings, including but not limited to infusion suites/expanded care, ambulatory clinics, and upon discharge from inpatient admission. This multi-faceted role requires expertise in Pharmacy and Billing with an understanding of Case Management and Social Work and facilitates financial assistance for patients related to prescription medications. Qualifications Standard Certification: Not required to start. However, you must become a Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years of your license issue date. Registration: You must obtain your Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license within 60 days of applying. Exceptions: Student pharmacists and technicians licensed before 1/1/2008 are exempt and do not need to get certified. Education High school diploma or GED equivalent....
