Manages the day to day operations of the workflow in Central Sterile during the designated shift. Ensures instruments are cleaned and sterilized properly and in a timely manner. Assigns daily task for staff members according to workflow needs. Reports to the Central Sterile Manager.   Job Function : Inspects instruments for cleanliness and proper working conditions. Assemble trays according to written directions. Wrap instrument trays, linen, and utensils in the proper sterilization material and label accordingly. Run appropriate biological and mechanical indicators and interpret the readings. Maintain appropriate load control documents. Distributes equipment to units in a timely fashion. Cleans, handles and stores equipment appropriately. Maintains an accurate inventory of patient equipment on the floors. Understands and uses the equipment tracking system.
