Sentara Medical Group is seeking an NP or PA with Obesity Medicine/ Internal Medicine or Family Practice/Endocrinology setting experience to join the Comprehensive Weight Loss Solutions- Kempsville team. Position Highlights: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm No Call Hybrid model- a mix of in person patient care and telehealth Provide evidence based care for patients seeking weight loss options with medication management using FDA approved anti-obesity medications, and ability to identify OTC medications/supplements/vitamins that may influence weight identify barriers to medication adherence and use behavior change counseling techniques when formulating treatment plan with patient through motivational interviewing Assign meal plan along with diet/nutrition counseling Educate patients on benefits of intensive, comprehensive treatment and lifestyle modifications while incorporating cultural considerations into treatment plans Problem-solve with patients to address barriers to...
