Overview The Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant performs routine administrative and patient care support duties in a medical practice to assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients and ensures that the office runs smoothly. The CMA/RMA/MA will also be in chart of prior authorizations. The employee is responsible for identifying prior auth requirements by insurance/payer and processes and completes prior authorizations for scheduled and add on services.
