Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Physician Assistant  position while under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician is to assist in direct patient care, obtain and record medical data, provide counseling and patient education, and assist in those tasks delineated for physician assistants.   Responsibilities What You’ll Do Assist in direct patient care under physician supervision Record medical data, provide counseling, and patient education Support daily outpatient office operations and answer patient questions Help assess patients and review medical documentation Prepare History & Physical exams before surgery Make daily rounds, write chart entries, and communicate with attending surgeon Educate and counsel patients and families Assist in surgeries, including positioning and post-op transfer Perform wound care (dressings, sutures, drains, etc.) Manage outpatient follow-ups...
