Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) , you will help 3 Cardiac Surgeons provide inpatient care and offer comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical services to patients at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY . Every day you will perform surgical/first assist duties in the Operating Room, including harvesting veins for CABG procedures, placing arterial lines, and placing chest tubes . You will be expected to participate in an inpatient-only practice, respond to call for surgeries, and round on patients on weekends in a call rotation . In your practice, you will also have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of procedures including but not limited to: Adult Cardiac Surgery, Aortic Aneurysm Surgery, Aortic Valve Surgery, Coronary Bypass Surgery, Minimally invasive Heart Surgery, Mitral Valve Repair and Replacement surgery, Open heart surgery, Valve repair and replacement surgery, Major aortic surgery,...
